Originating as a "Song of the Day" spam email to disinterested friends, the project found its comfortable blog format at the tail end of 2005. The high posting frequency is largely attributed the onset of a reactionary internet addiction following a house full of roomates' devastating videogame obsession.

The blog is written by Kyle, an enigmatic character who currently resides in Madison, WI. He spends his time studying neuroscience, constructing elaborate temporary art installations in his communal living room, disappointing people, and trying to remember to eat.
